They know what it's like, taking even one child with autism out in public -- to the mall or for a haircut. They are used to the stares, the downcast eyes, the whispers. They have had to apologize for outbursts and misbehavior, and deal with raised eyebrows over the size of their brood. Even knowing that, the Greenans want you to know this about them: They have five children -- and all five have autism.
