1-in-13 Women Drink During Pregnancy, CDC Says

Drinking alcohol during pregnancy is the leading preventable cause of birth defects and developmental disabilities in children, says the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
But according to a new report, that's not stopping pregnant women from drinking.

  1. Pregnancy week by week is an awaited yet tiresome phase that can motivate you to do simply nothing and rest for the entire day. This however, is not a very interesting proposition, if a simple and less complicated pregnancy birth is desired.

There is no known safe amount of alcohol a woman can drink during pregnancy. When you are pregnant and you drink alcohol or even alcoholic beverages, alcohol gets into your blood. The alcohol in your blood quickly passes through the placenta and to your baby through the umbilical cord and can slow down the baby's growth, affect the baby's brain, and cause birth defects.
