Conn. Official Tours Tenn. Group Homes

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The head of the Connecticut's Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities was in Memphis this week to tour group homes that could serve as options for the mentally disabled who currently rely on in-home personal assistants.
During his tour of one home, Jim Henry said supported living homes in residential neighborhoods are the best model for disabled people who need care but will lose their in-home nurses due to budget cuts.
