TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Shawnee County Commission is throwing in its two cents on the state’s Medicaid managed care debate.
The three-member commission passed a resolution Thursday encouraging Gov. Sam Brownback to reconsider his KanCare plan. The governor's office
is examining bids from five private managed care companies for three
contracts to administer state Medicaid services worth $2.8 billion.
The plan is expected to save the state $850 million over five years without cutting eligibility or services
