COLUMBUS, Ohio -- For parents of teens with an autism
disorder, life is interesting enough. It gets more so when their sons and daughters, sometimes
brilliant but also quirky, are old enough to drive.
'Do we do it, do we not do it? Will it work, will it not work? You ask yourself all the time,'
said Beth Luzader, whose son turns 16 next month.
Before she can explain further, Garrick Hatcher interrupts his mom to declare, “I’m not a bad
driver!”
