Diagnosed at 30 with Asperger's

MCHENRY, Ill. -- Egocentric behavior, trouble interacting socially and lacking empathy are all characteristics of a condition that is growing at nearly epidemic proportions, autism. Although now doctors, teachers and parents know to look out for sign of the condition that wasn't always the case. David Finch was not diagnosed until he was 30 years-old.
The McHenry man was married with two young kids before he realized his wife helped him discover he had Asperger's syndrome, which is on the autism spectrum. The diagnoses ended up changing him from a quirky engineer into a published author. But before that Asperger's nearly destroyed his marriage.
