WICHITA, Kans. -- It’s a typical morning in Beth Orth’s classroom at McCollom
Elementary School – though
she might argue there’s no such thing – and
five children are learning about the letter “S.”
“S says ‘ssss,’ ”
says Orth, the teacher, pointing to a drawing projected on the smart
board. “Spider in the soup! Ssss-ssss-ssss!”
